The leader of the Belgian women’s team, Lotte Lie, claimed victory late in the afternoon at the Elsenborn venue in the prologue of the Belgian Summer Biathlon Championships. In the men’s competition, it was the German Linus Kesper who won, finishing 7 seconds ahead of Florent Claude.
The Belgian Lynxes had their first meeting of the year at this “IBU Regional Event,” held at the home OstBelgien Stadium in Elsenborn. It was an opportunity to validate the first part of their preparation for the upcoming winter competitions. The race was held in a dynamic prologue format over 5 km with 2 shooting stages, and despite the rain, it was a great show.
