On Saturday the women’s pursuit took place. Lotte Lie started in 15th place. After the first two flawless shootings she was able to work her way up to 10th place, but in the third shooting she made 4 mistakes, which is unusual for her as the best shooter in the World Cup. Another mistake in the last shooting finally brought her to 34th place.
In the men’s race Florent Claude had qualified for the pursuit with a 17th place in the sprint. On Sunday, he again delivered a very good competition. Especially at the shooting range he showed a stable performance with only 1 mistake in the 3rd shooting. In the end, it was enough for 19th place. Florent had an excellent start into this season and is ranked 21st in the World Cup ranking, ahead of Tarjei Boe (Nor).

Two 2nd places for Maya Cloetens. In the sprint she had to admit defeat to the Italian Sara Scattolo and in the super sprint final she came in second, only 3 seconds behind the German Johanna Puff. In this final she managed a 20/20 in an international race for the first time. For the mass start 60, Belgium qualified with 2 boys (Sam Parmentier and Julien Petitjacques) and 2 ladies (Maya Cloetens and Manon Gabriel). All in all, a successful start into the Junior Cup season.
The next event will take place on 15 December in Annecy-Le Grand Bornand! See you all! <3 ๐ท VOIGT Fotografie & Design
